When Do You Receive Form 16?

Employers are legally required to issue Form 16 to employees on or before June 15 of the following financial year. For example, for the FY 2024–25, your employer must issue Form 16 by June 15, 2025.


What If You Don't Receive Form 16?

If you haven’t received Form 16:

  • Check with your employer or HR department.

  • If no TDS was deducted (e.g., income below taxable limits), the employer may not issue Form 16, but your salary slips and Form 26AS can still help you file returns.
